Q: How long have you been working on DnA?
A: Way too long. According to the timeline video we’re approaching 5 years on Aug 2015.
Q: Whoa! What have you guys been doing this entire time?!
A: Lots. We should have written a “Lessons Learned” document about all the gotchas we ran into.
Q: How did this project get started and you all meet?
A: Frank wanted to learn Android and decided to build a video game app as a side project. He contacted Michael for help with 3d modeling. Michael contacted David to help with animating. Marc saw Michael making cute Dwagons one day and got interested in marketing them. Frank and Michael grew up together in Hawaii. David went to college with Michael. Marc is Michael’s brother-in-law. Phew.
Q: When can I download the game?!
A: It should be released soon on Android. Probably Spring/Summer of 2015.
Q: Wait, Android? What about the iPhone?
A: In Frank’s infinite wisdom he decided to write an engine from scratch in Android. He will have to recode things for an iPhone version which is on the…to-do list. Looking back we wish we kicked him in the face and made him use a real game engine that could deploy to multiple platforms. This would definitely be #1 in the lessons learned document.
Q: Can I join your team?
A: We’re not really seeking talent right at this moment, but feel free to shoot us an email with a resume and tell us about yourself and why you want to join us. Keep in mind that we all work on during our spare time(for free). The best we could pay you in is probably peanuts and a reference.
Q: Your webpage sucks.
A: Look above and shoot us an email. Frank doesn’t really specialize in front end web dev.
